I didn’t get much reading done today; instead I fell asleep using the book as a pillow and got sunburn. So today I learned that tanning oil and no sun screen is a no no for me. Hopefully this all clears up before my job interview on Thursday. I thought bringing a book to the beach was a good idea but apparently not; at least I had the right intention.
So far I’ve only made it to chapter six. It’s not a bad read, it’s just boring to me. Though I do see the potential… I am curious about this whole Opus Dei thing and the creepy albino character — I keep picturing Tom Hank’s facial expressions for the character I assumed he played in the film (Robert I think). I’m definitely not giving up hope on this book so soon. The rule of thumb is to get through the first hundred pages for a story to pick up right?
I want to try and get through this book before June — not likely but *fingers crossed*.
